Fajitas are a classic Tex-Mex dish, though originally in the 1930s referred to the cut of meat commonly used in the ranch lands of South and West Texas. The familiar prepartation of the dish was not referred to as fajitas until businesses marketed the dish in the 1990s. This seasoning offers an easy way to create mouth-watering grilled meats and vegetables perfect for a fiesta any day. Use as a marinade for meats, or add to a stir-fry with lots of grilled vegetables. Use 1 tablespoon seasoning per 1 LB of meat or 1 teaspoon per 1 cup of beans or vegetables. To create a marinade, combine fajita seasoning with oil, lime juice and salt. Let the meat rest overnight, covered, in the refrigerator. Serve fajitas with warm tortillas, sour cream, guacamol, pico de gallo, cheese and lettuce.
